The Red 40 food dye additive can have a negative impact on people who consume foods that have this dye in it. According to Yahoo Voices, “ Reactions include temper tantrums, hyperactivity, aggressive behavior, uncontrollable crying and screaming, kicking, nervousness, dizziness, inability to concentrate and sit still among other findings”(2013). “ Physically you may get frequent headaches or migraines , upset stomach and feel ill after ingesting this additive”(yahoovoices.com). It also states that, children who have ADHD generally have improvements of behavior when red food dye is removed from their diet. The website also says, that many times products include both high amounts of sugar and red 40 so it can be hard to determine if the child’s behavior is because of the sugar or the dye. Both can cause the same results, but red 40 can have its own similar results, when sugar is not present. Red 40 isn’t the only food dye that is bad for your health and can cause terrible conditions, but there is also the dye called yellow 2G, which can also cause similar results as red 40.

Many people believe that e330 and 330 additive is produced with sulfuric acid and that it might contain mold and sulfur or sulfites. Sulfur and other sulfites can cause asthmatic and allergic reactions. The last example is another type of sodium, which is called sodium benzoate. It is one of the most dangerous preservatives that even the food industry , Coca Cola decided to stop its use. Preservatives can mostly be found in processed and canned foods as well. All of these food additives are all extremely harmful and should be banned for or health.
All of these preservatives, food dyes, and chemicals might not be so bad if we were eating them in small amounts.
